 Hi!







What a week has it been Work just got crazy end of term stress. Its assessment, reports this is probably the worse part of teaching getting everything done in such a short period of time but I push through. looking forward to at least 1 week of holiday whooooooopi. Because I am tired!!!!!!!Phew



Study Unit 4 Arts




Some people might say that arts integration is a waste of time in Foundation Phase education. Please explain how you would respond to such a statement by explaining your view on arts integration in the Foundation Phase.

I would most definitely smack the person lokl😁😁 I fully disagree.  

Arts integration engages students and offers a variety of ways to construct and demonstrate understanding. Arts integration helps teachers rethink the roles they play and their relationships with students. 

At the primary stage, arts should be integrated with all subjects and used as an approach for teaching and learning of different concepts. This will help children freely express their ideas and emotions. They will also develop all the senses through keen observation, curious exploration and spontaneous expression.


Which aspects of study unit 4 did you find the most interesting and challenging?  Please use the following prompts to reflect on your experience:
What did you find interesting? Please explain why.

That art  helps the child apply art-based enquiry, investigation and exploration, critical thinking and creativity for a deeper understanding of the concepts/topics. Arts subjects encourage self-expression and creativity and can build confidence as well as a sense of individual identity.

What did you find challenging? Please explain why.

I personally still struggling to do a lesson plan according to all the criteria that is needed to develop the holistic of the child. I still find it hard in to integrating other subjects with arts.  I still find it hard how can I develop it, if a school do not have thee resources or where I feel I do not have enough knowledge to interpret in my classroom.

PART : 1   How am I feeling? what a question lately hey!!😢😢 I was tested positive for COVID 19, boy can I tell you about it, it is hell!! Covid  had so much effect on  myself and my family.   Hallo almal!! Laaste eenheid van LSKM Wel, ek doen dit 'n bietjie aners. In my eie taal AFRIKAANS ek dink my engels is nou op loklHoeganit dit met almal?? dit gaan goed met my dankie.Kan julle glo toe begind blog het ek herstel van covid 19 en nou wat ons amper klaar is voel dat ek weer dit gekry is dit net nie malgeit nie lokl.
